I Did It

I like to be a woman of my word. After I posted about writing on my blog more if there was a way to use my iPhone, I thought "Of course there has to be an app for that." I opened the app store and found it almost instantly. I am super excited to.

Here it is. My first post from my iPhone. It is short and sweet. Mostly because I have a lot to do this morning and I'm going to lunch with my Grandma who came to town because she has never seen my new house. (I will have to share the pics of the house another day.)

Exercise, Excuses and iPhones

I am not good at doing more than one thing at a time...at least not when it is new.

For instance my new exercise agenda has taken over my life.  Not a bad trade off, but kind of a nuisance at times.  Last week I was super lazy, but this weekend I got a renewed sense of determination, thanks to Peanut Butter Toffee Brownies and my good buddy Adam. 

And I got an iPhone.
Its white.
So pretty.
I love it. 
It can do EVERYTHING!
As soon as I learn how I can blog from that thing, I will update this more, I promise.  I hardly ever use the home computer anymore.  Sitting here trying to type this is kind of a pain, not going to lie. 

In other news: Did you know that there is a Nielsens Frozen Custard in Rexburg???  How did I not know this?  It is a mere 20 miles away from me and I had no idea.  Oh sweet deliciousness.  Caramel Cashew Concrete I am coming after you.  It is good it is so far away.  It impedes my exercise plan for it to be closer. 

Something New

I am on a quest.  A quest to be healthy and to be a better me.  I want to be able to run with my kids and hike to the tops of beautiful mountains and to fit into someones else's cute jeans.  My journey is to be Fit by 40.  I have a little over 3 years.   I have a cousin who is my "coach."  She challenged me to write in my fitness journal daily.  I will be recording my progress on a new blog.  http://seeingalittlelessofme.blogspot.com/

First Day of School, 2011

First day of school!  First day of school!  Nemo was excited and so were all my kids.  Luke woke up at 5:58 am.  Emma was the first one dressed and ready to go.  At 6:30!  Emma is the child that I have to push and prod to do anything and who slept in until well past 9 all summer long.  They were all ready to walk out the door at 6:45 when I abruptly stopped them and forced them to eat breakfast, and take lots of fun first day pictures.  Luke wanted to go NOW but I tried to explain to him that no one would be there at 6:30 in the morning.  He didn't believe me.  Maybe tomorrow I will let them go early, just so they can see for themselves.

Smith Family Reunion 2011

We had our reunion in Island Park this summer, at our friends, The Wells cabin.  We were in charge this year, so it was a little more stressful then it usually ever is.  I thought it was fun and I am pretty sure everyone else had fun.  When we planed the reunion, we were hoping to buy a house.  We certainly didn't know we would close the week before the reunion or we probably would have planned it for a different week.    Needless to say, a few things were over looked, like the oars for our canoes. 

What would have been a leisure 2 hour trip down the river from Big Springs to Macks Inn, turned into a four our drag...Ryan walked most of the way dragging the rest of us all tied together in boats and canoes.  And by us I mean my family and a couple cousins and one sister in law.  Everyone else had a pretty normal trip...except my sisters family who's raft got a hole in it.  They had to get out and walk to the end of the river trip.  They made it back 30 minutes before us though. 

We were smart enough to not take the camera in the water with us, so the funniest thing that happened has no documentation.  But the rest of the reunion was captured well.  Here are some fun pics...warning there are lots!
